Nikko/Nicole Fuhrimann

Where do I begin? perhaps with the youngest member of our family.  Nikko, her Japanese name or Nicole, her American name, was born June 16, 1994 at about 2:00 p.m. in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  We arrived at 12:15, Yoriko was rushed in and I waited.  I sure didn't have long to wait either.  They told me a daughter had been born and I was able to see Yorichan and our second daughter about 4:30 that afternoon.  Men are not allowed to be present when a child is born, part of the Arab/Muslim culture.

Philippino nurses were taking care Yorichan, so she received very kind and conscientious treatment.  Mother and daughter came home the next evening--and our life has been blessed by this sweet little angel ever since.
